These are the instructions on how to do a full Power Wash on a District owned Chromebook.
- Press the "Esc" key, Refresh key (typically the 4th key from the left on the top row of the keyboard), and the power button/key at the same time.
NOTE: The power button for Touchscreen Chromebooks is located on the side of the Chromebook. - The screen should turn on with a white background saying to either insert recovery media or the OS is corrupt. On this screen, press the "Ctrl" key + the "D" key, then press "Enter".
- The device will go off for a moment, and then come back on with a screen saying "OS verification is OFF". Press "Enter" on this screen. The device will now wipe and reboot.
- Device will turn on as if its been factory reset. Follow the on screen prompts and connect the device to OPS-WiFi (Only found in common areas like offices and libraries.) An Agreement window will open, click "Agree" at the bottom.
- The device will now re-enroll and download it's policies. Once the login page returnes to the device, the device is good to go!
