There are many instances in which you might want to close your laptop lid but keep it from going to sleep. Follow the steps below to change the lid settings for your laptop.
- In the search bar at the bottom of your screen type in "lid" without the quotes.
- Click change what closing the lid does.
- Under the Plugged in column change When I close the lid: to Do nothing
- Then click the Save changes button at the bottom of the window.
Now you can close the laptop lid when you are connected to power or your dock and the laptop will not go to sleep.
