Check for Updates

In order to keep your computer running at peak performance, we recommend installing updates on a regular basis. There are two ways to check for updates and we recommend using both.

Lenovo Comercial Vantage

It's recommended to check Lenovo Comercial Vantage first in order to install any updates that pertain specifically to your Lenovo device.

1. In the search bar at the bottom of your screen type in Lenovo.
2. In the popup window click the Red Lenovo Commercial Vantage icon.
   
3. In the Lenovo Comercial Vantage screen click Check for Updates.
   
4. You will be notified if there are updates to be installed.
5. Scroll down, select all of the updates and install them, including firmware updates.
6. Please note that you may set the preferred time for Lenovo Vantage to check for updates automatically.
7. You may be asked to restart to apply the updates.

Windows Updates

OPS Technology automatically pushes security updates to your computer. You get to choose when to install other Windows updates. Follow the steps below to install updates from Microsoft.

1. In the search bar at the bottom of your screen type in Update.
2. Click on Check for Updates.
   
3. Click the Arrow next to Check for Updates and click "Check online for updates from Microsoft Update"
   
4. When the list of updates appears, you may install all of them.
   
5. After installing all updates and rebooting, come back to the updates and check again to ensure all updates have been installed.
6. Optional updates may also be available.
   
7. You may install them by clicking the Advanced Options button, then Optional Updates under Additional Options.
